We Need Not Walk Alone

The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive.




The Huntsville Area Chapter meets on the third Sunday of each month at 2:00 PM at the Renasant Bank in the Renasant Center Building, located at 4245 Balmoral Dr. SW, Huntsville, AL 35801 (on the East side of Balmoral just North of Airport Rd.).   Inside the door, you'll see our sign and someone will greet you. We truly regret that we have no accommodations for younger siblings, but teenagers and older are welcome to attend.

The Huntsville Area Chapter of The Compassionate Friends received their charter on April 2nd, 2007. The initial meeting of the Huntsville Area Chapter was held on April 10th.

Name tags have been designed for us to wear at the meetings. If you would like to have a picture of your child printed on your TCF name tag, please bring a small photo, approximately 3X5, and we will have the new tag ready for you at the next meeting. We will have a form and a choice of butterflies to print on your tag as well. The pictures you bring will be returned to you at the following meeting also.
